Parents with toddler

You've heard it a million times - "Parenting is the hardest job there is". Does it make you feel better? No, I didn't think so.

It's as if by saying it's hard, it makes the challenges of parenthood easier. Or that we should just accept the never-ending battles with our children and the feeling that we have. You know the ones. The ones where you feel that you're failing at parenting and that everyone seems to have calmer family lives - everyone but you.

I believe that it's our job as parents to become detectives and figure out what our children's behaviour is telling us.

And this is where I can help.

What if I told you that you can get rid of the naughty step?

That you can stop shouting, threatening, and ignoring?

And that by doing all of this you can have the family life that you dreamed of? That you can become the parent you want to be?

Let's Celebrate Our Differences

Kids don’t come with manuals, and I don’t think parenting should either. What works for one, doesn't always work for another.

All children are different and as such, all families are different. I believe that children and families deserve support that is tailored to their needs and takes into account everyone's strengths and difficulties.

I believe that we should celebrate our children's uniqueness and do everything we can to understand them and meet their needs. By doing this, we help them shine.

Don't we all deserve a chance to shine?

How I Can Help

I love supporting parents wherever they are in their parenting journey. If you're expecting or have a baby (0-12 months), BabyCalm can help with preparing for life with a newborn, baby sleep, and weaning. If you have a toddler (1-4 years), ToddlerCalm can help you with everything toddlerhood throws at you. Whether that's understanding behaviour and how to manage situations you find challenging, sleep or eating.

Sometimes life with a toddler is more difficult that the level of support ToddlerCalm can offer. That's where Parent Coaching comes in. We can look at the situation in depth and figure out ways to make life calmer and more joyful.

Parent Coaching is also for everyone with children over 4 years who want things to change but feel stuck. I specialise in families with children with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), but work with all parents who want to develop an understanding of their child and are willing to try a different way of parenting - one that focuses on connection and strategies that help your child develop new skills and behaviours rather than punish them for behaving in the only they currently know how.

In order to best help you, I need to have an overview of your situation. This means that I need to know a bit about your parenting story. Please click on the link below and I'll be in touch soon after to discuss your options.
